Stafford College is a large provider of further and higher education based in Stafford, England.
The Skills and Innovation Hub is built as an addition to Newcastle and Stafford colleges group. Building is equipped with leading edge equipment and state-of-the-art skills, construction, engineering, and motor vehicle facilities. Along with a 4-court sports hall, gym, and 300-seat auditorium. It is a facility with 7500m2 on three floors.
Glassense delivered around 1500m2 of glass units to this project with SGG Cool-Lite SKN154II on the outside. This coating has good levels of light transmittance, coupled with a low solar factor. It blocks up to 72% of solar heat by reflecting it to the outside. You can also use it to improve the energy efficiency of buildings by considerably reducing overheating and the need for costly air conditioning.
Since September 2023 the building is ready to welcome students.
Stafford College offers higher education courses in partnership with Staffordshire University.
