Netport is a science park which is located on Östra Piren in Karlshamn, Sweden. The business park consists of three buildings with a total of 12,500 m². It is a meeting place between people, ideas, knowledge and creativity. Also a platform for major innovation and development projects.
Glassense produced double glazed units for this project. Using highly selective solar coating Xtreme70/33 on iron free Diamant glass to create a pleasantly bright atmosphere and highly improved indoor climate inside the building.
Diamant is a unique extra clear glass which is valued for its attractive appearance and optical qualities. The low iron content produces a higher light transmittance and reduces the green tint inherent of ordinary glass.
We delivered around 3000 m2 of insulated glasses to this project.
The aim of the Netport project is creating long-term growth in Karlshamn. It supports the transfer of knowledge from the local university to businesses and the public sector. Thereby increasing businesses’ levels of expertise in tandem with the university’s experience in real-life conditions.
Their focus areas are Digital Media, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Energy. Netport was established in 2001 and has since then worked for economic growth and contribute to further social development.
