Glassense AS quality, occupational health, safety and environmental policy

Glassense AS manufactures and sells high-quality construction glass. Since our operations have an impact on our employees’ health and the environment, the organisation has a responsibility to our employees, the group, owners and clients as well as to society (including neighbours) and the environment.

To this end, we undertake to:

• Comply with the laws regulating our line of business on a daily basis;
• Consider the quality, occupational health, safety and environmental aspects when developing new products and methods and implementing new technologies, prevent potential damage to health and the environment and acquire safer and more economical solutions whenever possible;
• Extend our quality, occupational health, safety and environmental policy to temporary employees and subcontractors;
• Continuously improve our management system.

Customer satisfaction

We do our best to make sure that the customer receives their order at the time they were promised. To do this, we will monitor the OTIF result and the promised delivery dates.
When preparing offers, we are flexible and try to offer the best solution for the client.
We monitor the number of customer complaints relative to total output in order to ensure customer satisfaction.

Occupational health and safety

The primary objective of our health efforts is to prevent accidents at work, work-related illnesses and occupational diseases by continuously improving the working environment, providing health insurance and promoting fitness sports. To this end, we undertake to:

• Regularly assess work-related health risks and take measures to eliminate or minimise them;
• Promote and support fitness sports;
• Offer our employees opportunities to promote their health outside the national medical system;
• Involve employees’ representatives in processes related to the development of the management system.

Environment

The primary objective of our environmental efforts is to prevent pollution by optimising the use of raw materials and increasing the share of reused and recycled waste. To this end, we undertake to:

• Continuously work to sort consumer and electronic waste as well as make technological improvements to lower the scrap rate of our manufacturing process;
• Continue to streamline our manufacturing process to reduce water and energy consumption;
• Always work with waste management companies to find new ways to reuse and recycle the waste we produce.
