Nestled between the ancient forests of Alutaguse and the shores of Lake Peipsi, Kurro Nature Spa brings together nature, architecture and wellbeing. The spa is built around the ideas of space, silence and restoration. It invites guests to slow down and reconnect with nature. The resort opened its doors in August 2026 and features 97 guest rooms, restaurants, wellness treatments and three distinct spa areas with pools, saunas and relaxation spaces.
Glassense supplied more than 3,500 m² of glazing solutions for the façades and interior spaces of Kurro Nature Spa. Glass plays a key role in the resort’s architectural identity. Large glazed surfaces maximise natural light, open up views and strengthen the connection between the building and its surroundings.
The façade glazing features triple-glazed insulated glass units with Saint-Gobain XTREME solar control coatings. These high-performance glazing solutions combine thermal insulation, solar protection and excellent light transmission. The result is a bright and welcoming interior environment. The glazing also supports year-round comfort and energy efficiency.
Nature-Inspired Interior Glass
Nature-inspired silk-screen printed glass adds another unique element to the interior spaces. The designs draw inspiration from the landscape surrounding Lake Peipsi and were permanently fused into the glass surface during the tempering process. Unlike applied films or surface graphics, silk-screen printed glass offers exceptional durability and retains its appearance even in demanding spa environments.
The bespoke patterns add character to the interiors and strengthen the connection between the resort and its natural surroundings. They complement the architectural concept while creating a distinctive visual identity throughout the spa.

At Kurro Nature Spa, glass does more than provide transparency. It frames views of the surrounding forest and Lake Peipsi. It brings daylight deep into the building and contributes to the calm atmosphere that defines the resort.
Designed by KUU Arhitektid, the project demonstrates how architecture, carefully selected materials and high-performance glazing can work together. The result is a destination where guests can disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with nature.
